Hunar means craft.

It is the word we chose because it is the only promise we knew how to keep.

We began in 2021, quietly, with home furnishings — a few well-made things for the rooms people return to at the end of a day. We believed then, as we do now, that the objects you live with should be worth living with. That belief found an audience, and that audience carried us somewhere we hadn't planned to go.

Today, Hunar Design is a house of home furnishings, women's fashion, and maternity wear. Nothing was set aside to make room for what came next; our home collection remains as considered as the day we started.

Everything we make begins with hands. We work alongside artisans whose skill has been passed down rather than taught, and pair that craft with our own in-house production, so that a fine idea survives all the way to a finished piece. What we don't make, we choose — slowly, and only when it belongs.

Our maternity wear is cut for the woman, not the season. It is meant to feel like her own clothing, not a temporary arrangement, and to stay in her wardrobe long after. Our women's collection is made for real wearing. And our children's night suits, for girls and boys, are cut in fabrics soft enough for the most honest critics we have.

Our store lives inside our home. We have never wanted it otherwise. It means our customers arrive as guests, and leave having been listened to — a grandmother choosing linen, a mother-to-be finding something that finally fits, a child who only wants the one with stars on it.

Five years on, our work is unchanged: to make beautiful things, honestly, for the people who live with them.
